Thurgood Marshall
Thurgood Marshall, the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court, was a longtime advocate for civil rights and equal opportunity, as an attorney, notably as the attorney for Brown in the 1954 Brown v the Topeka Board of Education a NAACP leader, U.S. solicitor general, and a pioneering Supreme Court justice.
